Also, I know the gym is not a place to hook up with people, BUT what if there is always this guy there and you are giving each other looks back and forth, back and forth??? How would I approach that? The gym is a place where I spend most of my time so eventually I am going to meet someone there . . .

guys, you are so sweet! I am new to the dating scene because I ended a 10 year relationship in November 2004. Then I dated this guy for 3 months and he just ended it, we spent EVERYDAY together , had a great time and then he decided that it wasn't working for him, I knew something was wrong, i had to drag it out of him. First mistake, I should have just let it go, but i didnt know any better.

Someone once told me "Don't go out looking for a relationship, just go out and have fun, be yourself, and the relationships will happen". After some time of no believing this I finally was just out celeberating with some friends, and meet a girl that a friend knew. We are now married.

Basically don't force it, just let it happen.

No such thing as being too forward. If a guy is into you than it doesn't matter what you do or say really, he is gonna want to be approached. BTW I don't buy the too shy attitude. Why so clueless girl? Your gonna get preyed on by horrible guys with that clueless thing going on. Heres a clue thou, guys absolutely love it when a girl goes after what she wants, and is aggressive. speaking from a poersonal view, its very frustrating when dealing with a girl that is do shy that you don't know how she feels or what she wants, but there is nothing hotter than female initiative. it lets us know that you are attracted and are feeling something and that gets us going. don't worry about it thou, your a hottie so it will come easy for you I bet

ditto what gr8 said. Guys appreciate girls that initiate it...tastefully. Just not to the point of overdoing it like some cheap Vegas...well...never mind. You get the message. You can be forward and still be old fashioned. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Don't be shy around guys, just go after what you want. That makes it easier for the guy as well (who's prolly just as intimidated by you as you are of him)

thanks for all your advice. As far as being shy, well I thought I was shy but I am coming out of my shell, I just realized this last night.

Last night this HOT guy at the gym came up and started talking to me, asked me for a drink afterwards . . later, after I changed and stuff and I had fun talking, getting to know him.

His line was it was got me, it was cheesy but he definitly broke the ice!

Guys DO like girls that are somewhat forward... HOWEVER many or most guys like to FEEL like a man, and part of that is deluding onesself into thinking that "I picked her up!"

My advice: Be receptive... make sure u smile if you see him looking at you and look at him so he'll get the picture that you like him.

Finally, why would you have to WAIT to talk to guys. I'm surprised there's not some sort of line off to your side of guys waiting for the chance to catch your eye. You are hot.
