Good mom
Bad mom

.NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A mother faces criminal charges after she hired a stripper to dance at her 16-year-old son's birthday party. Anette Pharris, 34, has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and involving a minor in obscene acts. The boy's father, the stripper and two others also face charges.
"I tried to do something special for my son," Pharris said. "It didn't harm him."
About 10 people under the age of 18 were at the birthday party in September, including minors who were not related to the family, authorities said.
Police spokesman Don Aaron said minors are not permitted in adult establishments.
"A person shouldn't be allowed to circumvent that law by hiring a stripper, a lady who took all her clothes off and spent a good amount of time dancing around minors," he said.
Anette Pharris took photos at the party and tried to have them developed at a nearby drug store. Drug store employees notified authorities, police said.
"Who are they to tell me what I can and can't show to my own children?" the mother said.

I wish my mom did that.
oh give me a break. Parents do that for their kids all the time (usually kids ask them for their birthday present). 5 year old children see nudity and sex on tv all the time. These guys need to chill out already.
hahaha

I would honestly like to know how one gets caught for that. there is no real evidence of a crime. it would be one person's word against anothers. unless someone outside of the family was videotaping the event.

I give the momfor not being a prude, but I think I would have waited till his 18th bday.

And it wasn't just him I dont think... I think there were 10 other kids or something there at the party right?
Its one thing to let your own kid seen porn/strippers, etc... but when they are underage its a decision that the other kids parents should make for their own kids, not something this mom should have decided on to try and look cool.
But yeah, I think that is every 16 year olds dream
If parents want to have strippers for their kid, thats their business really. I cant blame the person at the photoshop though, as it might have appeared to be some weird shit involving sex with underage kids. The Mom made a baaaad decision on that. See, thats what she gets for neglecting technology. A digital camera... and she wouldnt have a prob![]()
I guess I have to be the one to point this out, ya know as cool as this sounds to pre-pubescent boys everywhere, this women obviously have no concept of boundaries in this parent-child relationship of hers and is obviously a horrible parent. Its one thing to turn the otehr cheeck and accept the fact that boys will be boys so to speak, but come one, I guarantee theres more problems in this family then this. thats the problem with parents and children nowadays in our generation, parents seem to want to be friends with or impress their children as opposed to being authority figures. its no wonder we have the problems we have...
I agree gr81. Parents should be friends with their kids, but they need to remember they are an authority figure in the kids lives and sometimes that doesnt always mean being "cool".
There are alot of screwed up parents these days.

I've been to so many other countries where there is no age limit on anything, and really the only "social" problem they have is drugs, just like us. Less violent crime, less car accidents despite horrible roads and ill-cared for equipment, etc... the US is prudish and that in itself causes a lot of problems.
The US is a bit prudish, theres no doubt about that. That said, the mother still had no right to have the other kids over for the party. Thats not her decision to make, it should have been their parents.Originally Posted by musclepump
True, but you're making an assumption that the other parents didn't know.Originally Posted by Eggs

Yeah, I knew I was when making the statementOriginally Posted by naturaltan
They could have gotten the other parents to assent... but it was a bad decision if they did. I don't know if I'd trust some other lady who is hiring a stripper for her kid because she wants to impress everybody, and I'm not sure if thats a healthy introduction (mentally) to sex.
Anyways, who knows![]()
MAYBE the mother thought that if she did not hire a stripper her son MIGHT not "become" Heterosexual and she wanted to "make sure"?
Remember it happened in Nashville, Tennessee...
Take Care, John H.
I don't know that she was trying to impress anyone ... but like you said, who knows. I don't have an issue with the stripper, I do agree that he son might be too young.Originally Posted by Eggs
