that displays the problem with pro bodybuilding today.![]()
i agree. it amazes me that he he placed 23 and Titus placed 3rd...doesnt seem right. the GH gut is not very appealing to me..but i guess now-a-days it seems as if everyone has it.Originally Posted by Robert DiMaggio
Hey guys, thanks for your compliments. Well.......i was overlooked in that show, the NOC 2003. It was my first IFBB pro show though. It was obvious that the judges went with the name rather than who looked better on that day.
I train for symmetry rather than mass for the sake of mass. I really love those classical physiques back in the 80's. Broad shoulders, V-taper, tight waist and excellent legs......that is what bodybuilding should be more about!
This sport is getting out of control in terms of drug abuse. We see some bodybuilders have died or are dying and some of them were forced to retire prematurely due to the excessive drugs intake over a long period of time. Bodybuilding should be a healthy sport. This is very sad! The IFBB needs to do something about this.

He received 3rd place and you were 23rd...that is just wrong, You were just as big, more cut, and better symmetry. It's sad but that is just 1 of 1000's of corrupt judging decisions, and the main reason I never bothered to try and turn pro. My buddy Eric Vance competed in the boarder state classic in 2003 and took 6th, he was the best at light heavy, it's just a shame that those who run bodybuilding have destroyed one of the greatest sports in the world.

ForemanRules, you so damn right!!! It was their own actions that destroyed this once beautiful sport. I was overlooked so many damn times in my bodybuilding career. If it was not for my passion for this sport, i would have given up long long time ago.
I will keep fighting coz i love the posrt and competing and hopefully the IFBB will wake up and say .............we need to bring back those classical physiques back in the 80's!!!

IFBB is fucked up, really really...fucked up. Too much politics involved.![]()
Ka-Boom!

Man I cannot believe the placing difference. Wong may not have quite as much mass size, but like he said his symmetry is awesome. He reminds me of Frank Zane but with larger size. I think his body type is much more appealing then the rest. I agree that bodybuilding has taken a wrong turn years ago and just wants massive giants with no regard to symmetry and its a shame.
I have never even heard of Wong until he joined Ironmag. And I can't believe he hasn't made more of a statement in the sport. That tells you how messed up it is and how out of control the drug use is.

Also, I would like to thank Wong for taking the time to post on our board. It really is a privilege to have someone of his caliber to share his knowledge with us!

It's pathetic what the state of pro BB has become.
Instead of putting value in the beauty aspect of it (symmetry, proportions, V-Taper etc.), they over stress sheer mass b/c that's what people who don't know much about BB want to see, and bottom line that is what makes the $$.
It cheapens the sport for all of us who truely appreciate it and who know what's going on. It's kinda like comparing Magic and Bird. Anyone who doesn't know much about basketball thinks Magic was better b/c he was "Showtime" and flashy and in L.A./Hollywood and all that (...like the mass monsters in BB), while people who were real basketball fans knew Bird (...who is congruous to proportioned, complete BB's) was just as good, if not better, even though he was not flashy, and was from a hick town etc.
anyways, my point was, they need to serously re-evaluate their current judging, because it's cheapening the sport.
Guys like Dexter and Wong deserve way more credit than they recieve, b/c it's just as hard to become symmetrical as it is to get huge. Sure, size is a huge aspect of BB, but it's not the only thing.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

Its amazing that for as "small" as Titus is known to be as he says he doesn't want to be a "300 pound bodybuilder," that he looks that sloppy.

Lemme see... the answer to that if you are a rational person is definitely Hong. If you're a crappy judge in the pro circuit today that tries to stick to names and picking who you were told to, then its MR gh there.Originally Posted by Robert DiMaggio
Which is unfortunate, Hong looked way better than Craig did. He's not quite as big, but the reason for that is that he is leaner, and he looks alot drier... where as Craig looks like he's missed his cut and come in soft.
I think this photo says it all....
The bodybuilder on the right looks like he is pregnant almost (though whether with a human baby is open to debate...)

even more amazing is that Craig placed 3rd!Originally Posted by Mudge

Btw Wong Hong is your real name or the bodybuilding name?

The deep cuts in Wongs abs would have placed him above Titus by default in Maniclion Land. If Titus was 3rd then Wong should have been 4th. We should all pull together and found a new orginisation and contest based on symmetry bring the artform of bodybuilding back, anyone can stand back and throw clay on a sculpture, but it takes an artist to mold it into a masterpiece. Way to go Wong.![]()

and drag down the features of age,

eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
