Ever been pimped out?

I feel so violated

At a clients' birthday party last night and introduced to one of her friends who was probably 45ish and going through a divorce (and quite hot actually). To make a long story short she made it very clear that she wanted a good solid "home workout" and was willing to pay nicely for it. It kind of surprised me because my client (who is also a hot wealthy 40 year old) told me she set the whole thing up so I could help her friend "get worked out" wink wink nudge nudge.

I'm tempted but there is obviously no way - even though I could REALLY use the money. I've read articles from other trainers about getting solicited for "at home servicing" but never experienced it firsthand like this. Has anyone ever been in this situation and what did you do? Maybe if I set up a proper appointment like I was dealing with a client and then if she comes onto me, let her know that's not what I do? Or is it best to just not pursue it but then that might affect my relationship with my current client if I blow off her friend...tough call.

Tough call pony. On one side, this is what you do for a living. If this got out to others, is it something that might damage your rep as a personal trainer? On the other, what if you do blow this lady off. Will your current client suddenly stop using your services, which is one less client and it sounds as though you would prefer not to do without her as a client.

Just do like you said...set up a "home workout" with her, then if (or when rather) she comes on to you, go with the flow.

Nah, I disagree.

I don't think it would damage your rep. Your personal life and your business are two seperate things. As long as she's not a psycho (i'd be careful though, cuz many women are), you're fine.

I love the support from all my fellow Ironmag hound dogs.

I'm going to call her Monday and go from there. For someone in her 40's she's probably about a 7.5-8 so not hideous at all. If I wasn't worried about the business angle (and of course my girlfriend) I'd tag it in a heartbeat. Her friend (my client) and her husband spend about $300 a week on me for training so they are obviously not clients I want to lose.

Maybe I'll quote her a really high rate and see how she takes it.

I never use others and they do not use me either. That is how I am though.

Remember when you are needing money this could end up costing YOU bigtime. How clean and healthy are they? Truthfully - and are you SURE?
