TV Show - 30 Days (Creator of Supersize Me)

Has anyone caught this show? Its on FX. I only caught one episode so far, but it was interesting. The next episode is about a former athlete that goes on HGH for 30 days. I'm curious to see how it turns out. You guys should check it out.

    Saw it, was pretty decent.

34 year old overweight guy took HGH (daily injections), Testosterone (weekly injections), Creatine Pyruvate and a host of other OTC herbs and supplements.

His goal was to get back to the shape he was in when he was 20 years old swimming competitively in college, within 30 days. Apparently he had an 8-pack back then, or so he says.

He had weekly blood tests to monitor things.

He quit the experiment after day 23 due to abnormal liver functions and fears of becoming infertile (75 million per CC with most alive to 1 million per CC with them dead).

Bodybuilding pro Bob Cicherillo was the guy's weight lifting trainer and he had another cardio trainer.

At the end of it, he was down 15 lbs (202->187) and apparently 15% bodyfat, which seems absolutely insane over just 3 weeks.

He seemed a bit more aggressive overall as things wore on, but that seems logical given the stress of being on camera all the time and the entire process.

I thought it was interesting, but both he and his wife were obviously not well informed prior to starting this and were very cautious throughout it (to the point of possible paranoia).

I watched it too. Pretty interesting. I was kinda disappointed that he had to stop the program after 22 days though. Made the whole show sort of pointless.

Some clarification. He took 100mg of test for the initial dose and 50mg as a maintenance dose afterwards. Not sure on HGH dosing.

There are some good discussions on the FX message board for the show.

Sweet... Thanks for the heads up. This should be pretty interesting. I've considered taking some type of anabolic at a moderate dose for a short period if I can find something safe. Definitely a must watch.

It didn't have any educational content... mainly a drama and whine-fest from Scott's (the subject of the episode) wife.

There will probably be reruns but I wouldn't recommend wasting your time.
