Why is it that around election time everyone was hard right or hard left around here and now that we've come through it everyone is meandering torward the center? You have to have noticed it, even I was guilty of having leaned more left even though I believe strongly in the straight up the middle party. I mean if in normal times we're all skeptical of either side no matter our leanings why don't we hold firm around elections and choose from the other parties? Why do we herd together into these groups we aren't really that confident in?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
