My fellow American's, it has come to my attention that there is descrimination in Mexico against the black community. I feel that it is our responsibility as god loving Americans to free these opprossed people of such corruption. We will now commense on bombing the shit out of the place

It is a depiction of Scandinavian mascots from a historical context, and belittles the significance of the Scandinavian Viking by making them team names and mascots.

The Vikings.....nah. But a good argument can be made to lose the name Redskins as in Washington Redskins. That's slang for 'american indian' and sure enough, the helmet has the visage of an Indian. That's comparable to having team named the Harlem Jigaboos. Both are patently offensive.

I suppose someone could get pissed about the Fighting Irish too....or the Murdering Italians for that matter.

I think they plan on having a new baseball minor league team here called the yellow skins.

That shit is common all over south america and the carribean. The african decendents living there don't mind it, thats why these stamps are put out. In spanish language, negro is not a bad word as here in the states. Jesse jackson just likes to stir shit up. Just like that biatch Gloria Allred.

You do see racism there but not as bad as in the USA, Colombians consider Black Colombians to be inferior, same with the Cubans.

Black slaves from the Caribbean were treated better than the American slaves, Caribbean slaves were allowed to use their African musical instruments while in the states it was not allowed to do so. You'll notice that most Latin music has a lot of African influence in it's music.

Every culture I'm aware of makes a big deal about being dark ( in a negative way), Mexico, Columbia, India, America, Peru...probably many more, those are just the ones I have friends and family from....the stamp is offensive as hell to many cultures.

I agree with you, I grew up on the most diverse neighborhood in the USA ( Jackson Heights, Queens and it's on record as the most diverse) and hung out with every race you can imagine and we all got along. So it was cool learning stuff from different races and cultures.
