What The Hell is Going on at IM

What The Hell is Going on at IM. I open up a post and see a guy with 29 post calling a senior member a bitch. Has words with 2 other members with over 6000 post and still a member of this site.

Something needs to change here as this is all wrong. Those members with several thousand post over a few years deserve more respect then this. I know that Modorators have more things to do then check every post for assholes. Matbe it should come down to a vote among the member who have been with IM for over a year (which) I haven't and the put out a poll to have someone banned. If the majority votes to remove a member then it goes to the adminstrator or a super mod and they then make a final decision as whether the members warrant the vote.

Ok, once and for all, WHAT DOES IT MATTER IF SOMEONE HAS 100 POSTS OR 1000, IF YOU LOOK AT WHAT WAS SAID, I THINK YOU WILL AGREE THIS CAME NOT FROM ONE SIDE!

Ah, I think voting people off can get a tad messy and political... I do believe in freedom of speech and imo you just have to ignore the assholes in the forums unless their actions are so bad that they warrant being banned at a mod's discretion.
If you don't humour the little suckers they usually go away I find.

I figured you would be the first one to reply. Man as far as I'm concerned you just have no respect for senior members. I'm not a senior member but I have the atmost respect for them. They can say what they want about me but I leave it there. I've said a few things to people who deserve it like those kids posting that they want to start up on gear at the age of 15. But never do I express my feelings to those who have been here for a long time and it's those that will be here when you and I are gone.

Heh, its all good Tough. The members that have been here a long time have dealt with this kinda stuff lots in the past, and we sometimes get a bit carried away with the drama and fun of it all

If it were really bad the Mods would take care of it... but most of us like a site that is open and where we can act the fool a bit more than the other sites. Thats one of the great things about IM, and why the elites have for most cases been here quite a few years.

Unit - I think the point he is making is that there are a ton of people that come and go through these sites... and in reality, the ones that matter the most are the ones that are going to stay around long term and contribute. Ones that are here for 100 posts and then take off really haven't provided as much value to the site and to the community.

Of course its been a while since I've contributed much, I'll probably have to start hitting up the training and diet sections again. The open chat area is just so addictive

Honestly, post count shouldn't matter, especially since most of the people who have 10,000 have used like 4 to post outside of open chat.

I totally agree with you Dale. I'm talking about those members who post on all the boards. I probably have equal post on tha Anabolic, Training, nutrition and open chat.

It shouldn't matter, that's exacly my point. Post count says nothing about what people say, for exeple. I had 40 good posts, and did not post small posts like, just comments without use, now I have 100+ posts but it might as well stand still at 40.100,1000,10000, there is no way to see someone's credit.

That's the point. You have a little over 1,000 posts and prolly have more training posts than half of the people with over 7,000 posts, but if you take total posts as the criteria, you are worth less than they are. I like Open Chat and always have fun there, but RD considers this a training board first and values the forums dedicated to training, supps, diet more, at least I believe that's the case.

Yeah, I always believed that to be the case as well... and I think Rob has said so in the past. In the mean time, its good the forum is open, while it has some downsides, there are benefits. One of which is that the moderators dont have to run around to every thread and check to make sure they approve of the content like they do at some sites *cough* MM.com *cough*

I guess my wording was wrong when i started this. I should of not brought up how many post. i realize that some people have been here for 6 months and have over 5000 post. I'm talking about a new person coming here and within a week calling out people that have been here for some time. I just think that is wrong and i'll leave it at that. Just my OP. I just thought it might of been a benefit to the mod's if some of your members who have been here for some time to also be of help. Like little watch dogs or something. Think I'll have a beer and see where all this open forum goes today

I think its a matter of who you argue are get nasty with. Some of the old timers rip on every thread they don't approve of, but they never cross a mod or argue with them ( except in fun). Plus it seems if your opinions don't fit with the status quo and you stick to your guns you might be in hot water there.
When I first got on this site I disagreed with a mod, and the discussion got somewhat nasty . At the time I didn't realize what a mod was and also let myself get cough up in the argument. I think if people here get to know you over time they can forgive the occasional rude comment, and they also know thats not all you do. This site is 1000x better than any of the other BB sites but you still have to be aware of who your talking to, and the way you are talking..........you only get one chance at a first impression and if you blow it you might be setting your self up for the BOOT.

Tough Old Man, your opinion is wrong and it needs to be changed to conform with the correct opinion.

What a good example of post-whoring by Eggs, he posted the same shit 3 times.

I thin I, myself, will be having a beer also, starting right........

I wish I had more time for the gym. This year though I am sending the whole family to the Y.M.C.A. that way I can sneak in a few more hours.

My first 4 years of weight lifting were at the YMCA, the gym sucked back then ( 1980's) but I was happy to be able to workout, and my family was always going there so it was convenient.
