    Question Australian Bodybuilding

Hey fellow aussie bodybuilders. I've just put up a really short survey on the net and was wondering if you'd be able to spare 5 minutes to fill it out.

I managed to work something out with Josh Dickinson (an Aussie bodybuilder/fitness professional). If you can spare 5 minutes for the survey you will get a FREE 2 week membership to his exclusive members only website (Physique Essentials)!! I'm a member there personally and it's an EXCELLENT bodybuilding/fitness resource!

We all know how much crap there is on the net (and everywhere else) about bodybuilding. I'm sure the vast majority of us want access to a resource aimed at Australians that cuts through the marketing crap and delivers hard facts that AREN'T trying to rip us off another $50. This questionaire will really help me develop something like this.

Thanks guys/gals, I'm very passionate about this and will keep you updated!

    Cheers

    Jay

nah i really want to just set up a website in my spare time to with what i'm really passionate about, just aimed at no BS aussie bodybuilding (we have crap all resources over here compared to the USA)

basically the aim of this small survey is just to find out what people are actually looking for so I can find out what I'm going to include on this site. Non-profit website, won't be selling stuff, just a hobby really.

It's 90% supplement questions, sounds like a marketing scheme to me.

yeah a lot of the questions are based on supps mainly because there is so much confusion about them. a big part of this website i want to dedicate to nutrition (I did science @ uni and love it) and clear up some of these myths the supplement companies put in our heads.

So yeah of course I want to get a general idea about what people's take on supplements are. Of course there's no right or wrong answers. Creatine might work for one person and do nothing for the next. I'm just looking to see where aussies stand in general so I can identify particular issues within the industry.

And I'm sure we're all well aware of the marketing hype that's churned out on a daily basis. It's my intention to identify a lot of this and point out to unaware consumers (particularly those just starting out) what is REALLY going on, so they don't end up spending thousands of dollars on empty promises.

I could go on...but that's the general gist of my intentions.

so you would rather label me a spammer than appreciate my intentions to actually HELP this industry?

Aus is years behind the states with bodybuilding. And with such a relatively small population it's so small and currently so impressionable. I really don't want to see it become filled with crap so people can never actually reach their goals.

Here's a scenario. Someone who's never lifted before walks into the gym with a new supp in hand that promises MASSIVE muscle gains according to some advertisement he saw. 3 weeks later this guy hasn't put on much muscle at all (no where near the promises he beleived), so he thinks that his body is inferior and goes back to watching TV because it's seemingly impossible to obtain such a great physique.

If I can at least help get the message out to a few people that would be rewarding in itself. And I want to do a good job too...hence my survey. If I just do a head dive into this website right away, without this information, how am I going to create a resource that many people can actually use and benefit from? I'll be creating it based upon MY beleifs, not theirs...which would make it useless. Sure I have strong beleifs (as many do)...but does that nessesarily mean I'm always right? Of course not.

Glad I found this forum actually, got some awesome content on here.
