This is a sad story, indeed.
If this can be proven to be an accident, I hope he doesn't get screwed.
Troopers on the side of the road, usually walk on the shoulder-side to avoid being hit by traffic. Still very dangerous when anyone is near an Interstate road with vehicles moving at high speed.
Why is he being held witout bond?

update...
bail was set yesterday at $1,000,000. needless to say he is still in jail. rumor has it that the police officer was far enough off the road to avoid getting hit. i will give more updates as i get more info.

the viewing for the state trooper was today.
they showed a picture of the truck driver on the news. he looked rough as hell, like maybe hes dropped the soap a couple times.
they also said he already has 3 accidents and 3 tickets on his record
