    Nitrogen beer

Has anyone else tried nitrogenated beer before? Basically, nitrogen is added to the beer instead of plain ol' CO2, giving it less carbonation, smaller bubbles, a thicker head, and more smoothness. I had some this past weekend while I was at a brewery in Vermont. I could not believe how good the beer was. It was "Nitro IPA" from the Trout River Brewery in Lyndonville, VT. I had three pints and could have had three more. It was just so smooth and tasty. MMmmmmmm....

And you didn't send me one. Damnit! I see how you are now.
I'll have to look for some.

Guiness is nitrogenated. The best is Magic Hat Humble Patience, but it is only nitrogenated in draft form, the bottles are not.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

I believe Boddington's is also nitrogenated. Nothing beats having it from the tap though.

Of course, the beer was accompanied with pizza, and washed down with ice cream. HAHAHAHA to all you dieters.

I work at a bar where we have 50 beers on tap, 4 of which are Nitro beers. We have Guiness, Old Speckled Hen, Boddingtons, and Young's Double Chocolate Stout. They are definately creamier. I don't drink though, so I don't have much of an opinion on them. I have tried them, but I am still a fan of wheat beers, especially Blue Moon, Pyramid Hefe-Weisen, Bell's Oberon, and Upland Wheat.
