There were definitely critics back then as well. They either shut up or were killed, etc. Or moved, that generally solves the problem as well. More than one way to skin a cat..

And anybody that compares Bush to Hitler or Stalin is a stupid fuck. Don't be a stupid fuck I wont be one if you promise to do the same

What is my age? what do I do? and you didnt stop them so you are lazy
You know what you do, I'm not going to remind you

Actually, it was never my intention to stop Bush... so I am in fact not lazy

I think its the right war personally, I just dont like how they are going about it. IMO each of our soldiers lives are worth 10,000 of theirs... (and that should be a countries prerogative), and we shouldn't just be wasting them to fight a "fair" war. Rather, when we kill a terrorists and ID them.. we should bury them in a pics carcass and then kill every member in their family within two generations

I do believe that Casey reinlisted in 2003 or around that time.

It's too bad he got killed.

But he went to war and he ended up being a statistic.

Out of 138,000 troops in Iraq now, and the 200,000 in total that have served, 1870+ have been killed, so statistically this is less than 1.5%.

I do hear Dale Mabry's point: where was she before her some died?

No one hates this war more than those who have to fight it and those who lose someone to it.

    Mildly off-topic but,

One of the major reasons America is in Iraq is because of China....

The referendum in Mid-October will probably the major point in what will happen in Iraq.

They've known the risk concerning New Orleans for a long time. Blaming Bush now when they haven't done shit for it in 40 years is just ridiculous.

Pretending that President Bush has NO responsibility simply because he is a Republican is also nonsense. Plans for these levees and improvements have been made over the years, but settling required vigilance and upgrading their protection, particularly when both plans and scenarios called for the potential of catastrophic conditions from a Category 5 hurricane. In the last two successive fiscal years, Congress and the President reduced funding to finish one levee project and shelved plans for studying how to upgrade preparedness systems.

Congress and the President were also resisting appeals for YEARS from the Louisiana congressional delegation to do something about coastal erosion and to help regulate wetlands in the area, which are natural barriers to some effects from the Gulf and hurricanes.

This isn't just some random area - it has vital economic interest to this nation. That is the port in which much of our sugar and coffee arrives here, among many other products, and, as we are seeing at the gas pump, OIL.
The catastrophe will obviously have a much larger effect on our economy than 9/11.

Unfortunately, we have a President who is likely to invade the Cape Verde Islands, since many of the tropical waves that grow into eventual hurricanes are born in that area. I'm sure there is more than one crazed American televangelist who will contend that Muslims in the region deliberately created the storms and sent them to destroy the U.S. That should be reason enough to seek out those terrorists making hurricanes of mass destruction.

Did Casy Sheehan support the Shia government?

    Federalism?

    Sharia law?

He was doing his job - for low pay - and became a statistic.

In his future life, he should pick a safer occupation.
