I have not heard/read anything good about the shuffle. I'd go with the mini.

I dont like the shuffle, personally. Most regular mp3 players have an option to shuffle the music - so why would you need one that only shuffles? Originally Posted by Pepper

My regular Mp3 is as small as the shuffle, has an led readout screen,
plays WMA files, was cheaper, and uses one standard AAA battery
Which I have had to change while on the treadmill - (kept an extra)
Have Problems?... Chances are its due to overpopulation

Whenever you go home or whenever you want to really you just plug it into your computer, and if you have it set up like this, it will automatically add entirely new random songs onto it in only a few minutes. Or you can pick and choose what songs you want on it, and playback can either be shuffle or linear.
Other great points: Small, extremely lightweight (if you drop it the headphones will hold it up), great rechargable battery which lasts a ridiculous amount of time.
