Why do people who call you on a bad cell phone connection get mad at you because you can't make out what they're saying?

A customer just called me and I kept telling them their signal was bad because I only only caught bits and pieces of a staticyword here and there. So the person raised their voice like that would push the signal a little harder, yeah all I got was louder static in my ear, then I caught pieces of grumbling and bitching at me like I was to blame for their shitty phone service.

Fuck you bastard whoever you were.
