I'm wondering...

View Poll Results: Did Eggs join just for the weight lifting, or is he truly here to be indoctrinated?
Of course, Eggs wants to be brain washed and have somebodies political agenda shoved down his throat 24/7. 1 12.50%
Nah, Eggs probably joined for the lifting, stayed for the community, and now gets to roll his eyes and all the politcal attacks. 4 50.00%
Who cares, we're just enjoying turning this place into MM.com! 3 37.50%

You decide!

I thought it was closed yesterday or the day before?

I've always thought it bad it bad business when a company owner comes and tells his customers what is right for them and shoves his opinions down their throats.

Perhaps soon we will find an "Open letter to Robert DiMaggio"

I doubt it'll be by a fat ass malcontent, but it might be by a thinner one

Rob never told you what to think. He is just posting his opinions. You can comment on them if you want. Rob is not going to ban you for being pro bush or anything. I do understand where you are coming from, though.

For a second I thought maybe musclemayhem.com. I have never been a memebr of there either. This is the only "bodybuilding" forum I am a member of. The others are olympic lifting or strength forums.

And if he posted one of them it wouldnt be a big deal. However, I come back after a day away and there are quite a few posts pushing his political viewpoint. One would be fine, I could care less abou that.

But then he starts going off with on his political rampage, along with which he is locking peoples threads for disagreeing with him?

He might or might not ban me, but to lock a thread because he disagrees with peoples opinions and wants to get the last word in... well?

Ah, okay, nm. Yeah, it was a web site that many of the old timers here were at. The admin was just plain crazy and would lock or delete any thread that didnt make him happy. So everyone ditched the schmuck and came over here. But I'd hate to see history repeat itself.

Here. In fact, Rob has closed 5 threads in the past two days.

If you want to find them, scroll down through the pages and look on the left for closed threads. You'll only have to go back to the third page to see all of them (2,2,1).

Robert has every right to stand on the soapbox in his own kitchen and speak his mind just as Bush has every right to twiddle his thumbs for a few days as thousands suffer the most inhumane conditions, oh wait no he doesn't, but Rob still does. I'm sorry but Bush has infuriated me the past few days to the point that at one time, while listening to him blow smoke up reporters asses, I punched the stereo in my car cracking the faceplate a little. I'll have this car for at least a couple years so everyday I get in it to go to work I'll have that small rift in the face of my stereo. but it's nothing compared to the huge scar that will be left on the face of this nation once the wound that Bush keeps ripping open time and again heals over. If ever it does.

Way to control that anger... and I always wondered why you were so rational

Robert has a right to preach.. but if he is going to charge people then I think he should limit it. As I said before, one thread against Bush would have been fine, but going ape shit on a customer base that supports you isn't fair.

If you want to pound on your soap box, being that you're not a member of staff, that should be your choice

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

Robert has a right to preach.. but if he is going to charge people then I think he should limit it. As I said before, one thread against Bush would have been fine, but going ape shit on a customer base that supports you isn't fair. That's the way it is my man. At my company we have several devout Bush lovers one of them has pictures of the man plastered behind his desk, the owner, president, my supervisor, and I have declared war against Bush and his whole system yet we get along famously with the Bushites even after bickering about politics. The owner has a dart board with GW's face as the bullseye and various members of his admin surrounding it, I have a political cartoon slamming Bush on oil taped to the front of my desk. I'm glad we have freedom to express our political views at my working place it just goes to show that both sides of the spectrum can still agree that renewable energy is a definite necessity in the near future.

If you want to pound on your soap box, being that you're not a member of staff, that should be your choice Being that IM is a community one persons view shouldn't be held accountable for the views of the entire community even if that person is a moderator or site owner. I however agree that Prince shouldn't lock a thread he's been arguing in just to get the last word, especially when I want to come in and support some of his statements.

I bet that even though LA and MS are blaming Bush for all this shit, they still would have vote for his ass. I don't think Bush is any more responsible than anyone else, I just imagine that even though they blame him they would still vote him in. That reflects poorly both on the residents of LA and MS as well as the democrats. Hell, I bet a number 2 pencil prolly could have beaten Bush.

If sense were common, everyone would have it.
