suggest a weight scale
for me to buy that is accurate within a 1/4 of a pound

i've found tanita scales to be very accurate and consistent when used to measure bodyweight. (they are a LOT less consistent when used to measure bodyfat but that's a whole other issue. for bodyweight they're great
