I don't think the old man has much time on this earth and I really haven't heard of anyone replacing him.

I really see no one replacing him at all. Hopefully their won't be a lunatic to replace him but from the way I see it whoever takes over will probably become more republican in his ways.

I personally would vote for Goal getter to take over Cuba.

We could have P funk get her elected in a puppet regime.

If sense were common, everyone would have it.

Yup. He's 79.

His brother, Raul is his likely successor. Raul is not as popular as Fidel. It could be interesting.

Let's see:

  • Cuba is an island.
  • It has little natural resources.
  • It has a negligible manufacturing industry.
  • Was taken over in 1956 by Castro and just 82 men.
  • It been ruled by a dictator for almost 50 years.
  • Has the GDP on equal with Idaho.
  • Its two greatest exports are cigars and people.

No matter who gets placed into power, Cuba's screwed...

NOPE!!!

MGM and a couple of the casinos will go down there...

They can put up a few resorts in 6 or 8 months....

A few clubs and restaurants will follow the resorts...

BAM!... Instant economy

If i was part of the Mob, I would tried to have Fidel assassinated, and have Mob take over of Cuban Government.

^ and who would benefit. Remember Lucky Luciano?

Anyway, Raśl Castro is considered more of a hard-liner than Fidel.

It's hard to say what will happen.

I suggest anyone go to Cuba before the country changes. I hear the music is great, and the people nice. Secret police all-over, though. Came close to travelling through Cuba in year 2000, but went to South East Asia instead. Still here.
