He actually just seconds ago announced the mandatory evac of the east bank and several other areas.

Yea. The whole grid is quite fragile. I imagine this storm, if it hits like they predict, will knock us back a couple weeks at least.

I don't know where Rita's going, but everyone here in Hawaii has Hurricane fever they've been emptying the shelves at Costco and Sams. Funny thing is the 2 Hurricanes spinning in the Pacific now are no more unusual than the other years I've lived here, the ones that are scariest are the ones that creep up from right below us and plow through the islands.
