God(ive seen mention in all of the above).

I happen to think it would be super cool to have a god and some kind of non expiring life, at least as a possibility.

Granted Id want a sane, and reasonable god, none of the shit we have in our theism options today.. I dont know crap about most religions but I know a bit of Christianty and Islam.. id definitely take Allah over the Christian god. In Islam you're born clean of sin and held accountable for everything you do in life.
As a Christian you're born with sin, and automatically going to hell. BUT, if you accept jesus as your savior and lord you can do pretty much anything except commit suicide and still get in..

Fuck that, Earth would suck, and all those assholes who exploit the system would still get into heaven.. and I couldnt give Flex an X box to take care of them at that point

(Having a giant pasta ball for a god would just be weird!)

Ive heard alot of different views on Christianity but this seemed pretty consistent- That if you sin.. But admit it, feel bad for it and repent for your sin(s) you could/would be forgiven? Its kind of an exploit if you think about it.. Though anyone intentionally exploiting it would obviously not regret their decisions, and therefor could not truly repent.. But it still serves as an excuse to make bad decisions..

    Example:
In Highschool one very outspoken Christian I sat with at lunch(Who called me lustful for joking about a hot teacher!) Went out and screwed some girl(whom he was not married to ) He acted very down about it, said he felt it was a mistake and regretted giving up his virginity before marriage; said he wouldnt do it again(I didnt really care.. as an agnostic I found/find it funny)
I heard at the end of the school year he shacked up with another girl.. He graduated that year, and I havent spoken with him since.. but Id guess his attitude towards his second,"transgression" was probably the same.

I have a feeling that by the rules of christianity he could(and probably would) still be granted entrance to heaven.. but? He claims he loves god, and.. well you know the rest better than I..

But I cant buy that. Im a virgin.. I was pretty unsocial the majority of my younger life(where I probably wouldnt have gotten laid anyways ) And as of after that Ive been in love with an incredible girl that I dont intend to let go of but shes the type to not have sex before marriage too..

I dont see myself going out and having sex with somebody else and still being able to claim I love her, it was just a mistake. I just think the same would/should apply to god. If he loves him, why in the world would he actually go out do something god forbids? Twice? He claims it was a bad, regrettable decision.. But arent all sins? Even priests who were out molesting young boys(and earning the cath church its reputation) They werent cast out by their superiors.. they drank some herbal tea and meditated; they claimed it was a sin, and not a crime. To my understanding theres supposed to be no sin in heaven.. But if people cant control themselves on Earth..

If all such indiscretions can be forgiven.. cant somebody decide to just sin on purpose(well.. few people can actually manage to have sex on accident.. kudos to those who can) but I mean, if somebody says,"Hey, Ill just do whatever i want, and repent later" so they go on a sinning spree.. and when reality catches up with them they actually DO regret what they did.. Wouldnt they have a chance to be forgiven too?

In this way of thinking.. even suicide wouldnt matter.. If somebody jumps off a really tall building and 50 floors later realizes this was a mistake, ect ect, then even he could be forgiven. Or is my rationalization too extreme? If so.. where is the line drawn? I remember reading(This is just one view Id guess) is that once you accept Jesus into your life you're guaranteed entrance into heaven. In fact I was actually,"Saved"(i was full of crap so it didnt count!) by a baptist, whos group rents a lot at the Wagon Wheel flea market down here in Pinellas County.. And thats what he told me as well.

Also.. Light sabres would be very cool.
But banned in an instant! Imagine one maniac running down NYC streets.. It only takes one idiot to fuq it up for everyone else
If we had Jedis though that would bring back the coolness.. But I would probably not be able to use the force, which would piss me off, and thus make it not cool

As a Christian you are not born of sin. That is a belief that some denominational churches have.

At the topic at hand, I would agree with Ihateschool and go with Santa.

Nah, not looking to be saved necessarily, Im just curious what he meant. But with what themamasan said Im beginning to see theres more different interpretations to the bible than Id though... For instance, Id never heard under the name of Christianity that people werent born with sin..

Perhaps thats just the local belief then, but for something that big to be debatable within the same religion.. weird.

The knife that toasts bread as you cut it from Hitchhikers Guide, and I want an improbability button in my car.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Oh and if something squishes me flat I could just blow on my thumb and pop right back to my normal form.

The Catholics and Baptists I know believe people are born into sin, and because they are so large it has become somewhat commonplace to believe.

Back on topic, I would like to see all the cartoons be real. It would be cool to live in a world where humans interact with the 'toons. I always loved "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" as a kid. "Cool World" was cool also.
