Does Catching The "Holy Ghost" Only Exist Within Black Churchs?

The reason I ask is 'cause I have never seen a perdominately white church where the people start shouting and running around the church and jumping up and down while praising the lord. I only see it within the perdominately black churchs. Well, the question is in the title. Does anyone here know?

I think Pentacostals do things similar to this.

Some denominations even claim they can "talk in tongues."

The Holy Ghost/Spirit is referred to in the Bible first. It is a spiritual transformation that does not require speaking in tongues, convulsing, or playing with snakes. So to answer your question, it does take place in places other than Black churches. Many Black churches just tend to be more charasmatic(not meant negatively).

You will not see that in catholic churches, my teacher once told us that when the Irish catholics were not allowed to really practice their religion. If they did it had to be kept quiet because the Protestants really did not allow them to practice it.

On a another subject, this is may be of interest to God hand but in America ever notice that they never really played the Congo's or drums like they do in the Caribbean and Africa....the American slave owners did not let them play them while the Caribbean slave owners were more lenient.

I don't think 200 years ago they practiced the Catholic religion in that regioon of Africa, so they may have merged some of the old with the new.

The baptists here in the city in MI, stand up and TESTIFY...

which means they have a vision and speak to the lord...

Happens all the time, I used to get my haircuts from one of the ministers
at his shop... I would always listen to them tell the stories...

    I found it interesting & entertaining -

Is catching the holy ghost like catching a fart and painting it green? Sounds like a fun way to spend a few hours.

no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

My friends brought me to their church (all black) to play Amazing Grace on my guitar because they said I put so much feeling into it their church had to hear it. As I waited around they had several sessions where things got pretty intense, it actually made church look fun compared to the boring white churches I had been to.

Honestly does that question even need to be answered... When you "catch" the Holy Ghost you'll know it! And so will everyone else....... When He comes just be ready for change. I am!!!!!!!
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless those who bless me as I gladly accept their blessings, and curse those who curse me all the while protecting me for any evils. In Christ name, amen...
