I buy stuff on Ebay all the time. I buy just about all of the replacement parts for my company's laptops off of EBay.

Only been ripped off once and I was stupid. The guy is in jail now as I turned him over to every law enforcement agency I could think of. Guess who nailed him? The US Post Office for Mail Fraud.

I've been screwed a couple of times on eBay, mainly on items not up to par with the condition described in the listings. Is there anything you can do about this besides leave bad feedback?

I have contacted sellers before and they will offer a refund of the bid amount, but they require you to pay full shipping and send back the item(s) (shipping cost x2). For example, I won some shirts for $6, but shipping was $5. Shirts weren't new, seller offered me my $6 back but I had to ship them back, so basically I'd be paying $10 out of my pocket just to give the seller back his items.

Ebay is the best for getting cool xmas presents cheap. I've used it many times and have yet to get screwed. I only do business with established vendors though.

Most recent purchase was a textbook - retails at $115 and got it for $9.50 plus shipping .

I am buying and selling stuff on eBay on the daily basis.
I sell mostly Sports Nutrition by Prolab like Amino Acids Creatine and Whey.
If you are interested, let me know that you are from the forum and I will give additional discount.

Just look for eBestDeals. (you can type that in Google or Yahoo too)

Just want to let you know that most of my negatives comes from people who received the item and left it to me by mistake and it was ment for someone else. I guess I would say I have maybe one deserved negative.
I am saying that because I read that some of you guys dont bid even if there is oine negative. It is hard to almost 4000 feedbacks and avoid negatives.

Regarding the bad expirience on eBay:

There is some guidelines to follow and you will always get good experience.

    1) Check the Feedback. And read sellers reply. Most sellers wil reply to the negative feedback with explanation. So you can kind of judge who is write or wrong by it.
2)If seller sells Gucci for 40 dollars and it is " Buy It Now" it is almost guaranteed fake !!! From my own "bad" experience.
There is just no way to get that price.
    3) And of course ask questions when in doubt. To avoid problems later.

How to get money back :

    1) Contact seller for the Refund
    2) File Complaint with PayPal. They will process it and will contact seller. Seller has 7 days to replay or your money will be credited back to you.
    3) File complaint with eBay.

    I hope this helps.
