Any supp. shops near Joe Louis Arena in Detroit?

Hi all, I'm going to be in Detroit on Friday night for a Foo Fighters concert.

Wondering if there are any pro shops near the Arena? Don't want to stray too far because I don't know the area, and I'm leaving the car in Windsor (taking the tunnel bus acros).

I'd like to check out what you Americans have for sale that doens't come to Canada.

If you know of one I'd appreciate it.

Anyway, I don't know what it would have. Prohormones were available there and not here. Ephedra has been suppressed here (to pills of small doses, and no ECA stacks). Given just these two examples, and the fact we have different regulatory bodies, I don't think my curiosity reflects ignorance. I fully expect they might have different products and brands.

Actually they probably would... Canada's supplement regulations are a lot stricter than the states. However would it be anything of any use probably not after the PH ban

I think they sell ECA at the duty free at the bridge, not sure about the tunnel though!

If you can't bring your car, you won't find anything but alleyways, bars, and hobos...

And if you stray far enough away from the JLA you are gonna get your ass twisted...

Seriously, every now and then I buy something that will at best have marginal effects just to keep the leaning on track. I just got some CLA half price for like 5 bucks. Throw it in. Will it work? Not really. But I get some more momentum out of it. It won't HURT, that's for sure, unless it's was suposse to be a supository...

I agree. I wouldn't be walking around Downtown detroit looking for supplement stores. I would go to the show and get out.

Man, this is a rining endorsement for Detroits tourism. They have an original six team. Why's the city so bad? Is this typical of cities in Michigan? Or other states too?

The opposite is true of Canada. Some small shit holes might prove trouble, but our large cities are safe.

In general, there are parts of every city that are shitty/slum like adn there are parts that are nice, safe, pretty, etc....The problem is that most of the time (not all of the time) things like stadiums or arenas are built in or around areas of the city that are shit because land is cheaper there and they know that when there is an event there will be a large amount of people all moving in the same direction to the facillity along with a higher amount of security. Once you stray from that path and start walking somewhere else you are asking for trouble if you don't know where you are in that city.

Have you lived a shelterd life? Detroit is probably one of th biggest shit holes, and always in the top 5 for crime rate in the US.

Iain, in terms of travel - yes, pretty much a shletered life. In the states I've only been to Buffalo and Warren, New Jersey. Cuba and the Dominican. And in Canada, just the east coast. Live in TO my whole life.....
