    This Really Sucks

    Police officers working with the DARE program has issued this warning:

    If you are driving after dark and see an on-coming car with no
    headlights on, DO NOT FLASH YOUR LIGHTS AT THEM! This is a common
    Bloods gang member "initiation game" that goes like this:
    The new gang member under initiation drives along with no headlights,
    and the first car to flash their headlights at him is now his "target".
    He is now required to turn around and chase that car, then shoot and
    kill every individual in the vehicle in order to complete his initiation requirements.

    Damn this story is still circulating? I heard this story in Houston while in middle school except the gang involved was the Little Mafia in my neighborhood. Of course having gone to school with some of the kids who were in that "gang" of weed pushers (yeah that's the extent of their hardcore crime family) I knew it was bogus. However I can see how it would be dangerous to see a car with it's headlights off rolling slow through a neighborhood since I've been at the receiving end of 2 driveby shootings, my luck huh?? Plus kids I knew in the local Latin Kings used to cut their lights and floor it as they'd pull up to where me and my friends hung out in front of our houses, kids I'd played football with in 7th & 8th grade who somewhere between the transition to highschool got caught in the wrong persuasions.
    Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
    not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
    and drag down the features of age,
    no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
    no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
    but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

    I like to flash them with this. Nothing says "Hello" quite as well as night-blinding a driver.

    So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
    of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
    about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

    Exactly! I tried explaining to them the pros and cons of a wet cell battery vs. dry cell using three 50 ohm resistors connected in parallel, but they just shot me and took my shoes.
