Wireless Network problems

For some reason, there is one website I can not get on anymore. Last week I had no problems getting on the site, then one night my computer seemed to be running a little slow, so I went into the Windows Task Manager and ended an explorer.exe process. I don't know if this is the cause, but since then I can't access the website. I talked to the admin of the site and haven't been banned and no one else is reporting this problem, and I tried accessing it on IE and firefox and neither worked. I adjusted my security settings, even turned off my firewall and still couldn't get to it. I can't get to it on my roommates computer either, so I assume it's a problem with my wireless network. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and how I could fix it? Thanks

If it's an external site, than it has nothing to do with your wireless network unless you somehow blacklisted it on your wap/router. Explorer.exe is the windows user shell.

well i would imagine everyone on the wireless network shares the same external ip address so it could be possible that the admin has blocked someone else on your network and inadvertently blocked the entire network.

You could check this by using http://www.anonymizer.com/ , if you go to that site and type the url into the box at the top right, it will connect to the site via a proxy using a different IP

Im a supermod on the site, so the admin would have told me if anyone from my IP had been banned.

I would have recommened this, however he said he was using a third party browser, firefox.

I guess there is a chance he imported settings over from IE to Firefox.

Delete cookies like Stu said, but also clear your temporary internet files.

Check your security tab under internet options, make sure you didn't somehow add this site to restricted sites.

I deleted both the cookies and temp. internet files and still couldn't get on. It's not on my restricted list, so I don't know what else it could be. This is pissing me off.

Usually a cord solves most problems with wireless networks.

I heard a good pair of rabbit ears will also boost the signal range quite nicely.

Who administers your wireless network? They could be messing with you and have ironarena.com in the restricted keywords or whatever your wireless router/access point uses.
