    Audioslave already working on follow up to "Exile"

    http://www.vh1.com/artists/news/1509...dioslave.jhtml

    I know I cant be the only one whos excited that Audioslave wants to crap on the "every 2 years release a new CD" cycle.

    Hopefully they go back to a darker/harder sound found on their self titled album.

    PS: I had a discussion with my buddy about the state of music. He said rocks dead and then challenged me to list a few quality modern rock bands. I could only think of Audioslave, The Tea Party, Queens of the Stonage, and Weezer. I have got to be missing a ton of good bands out there. Can anyone name any?

    1,2,4,5,6,7,8, and 9 are all sick in my opinion.

    PS: The solo in track number 9 on the excement album reminds me of a videogame called castlevania.

    You are right though, music is pretty much dead right now. It was the same way in the 80s. These things come in cycles and right now we just happen to be in the crappy cycle. People will get sick of it like they did in the early 90s. There was a flood of good bands out then and eventually it will happen again.

    In fact most of the good or semi decent music that is out today is just a remnant of this 90s music cycle.

    Audioslave = Soundgarden
    Foo Fighters came out in the 90s and found their roots in Nirvana
    Weezer came out in 1994
    Tea Party, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Offspring were all 90s bands too.

    There really hasn't been any new good bands that I can think of in the last 5-7 years that didn't have band members from these early 90s groups.

    The "modern" bands you listed are all 10-15 years old. (except the Queens of the Stone Age - but I wouldn't put them in the same league as the others anyway)

    Why do you put a baby in a blender feet first?

    So you can watch the expression on it's face.

    How do you make a dead baby float?

    One scoop of ice cream and one scoop of dead baby.
    If sense were common, everyone would have it.
