asiansensation I have a question for you.
Do you think a very low carb diet ( 50 grams a day) for 2 or 3 weeks is ok for a guy 230 and 15% body fat.....just want to jump start my diet??

Foremanrules,
Based on my experience, going on a very low carbs (less than 50g) for more than 3 days is not advisable. Why don't you go on carb rotation? ie: one day on high carbs (maybe 200-300g), one day on moderate carbs (maybe 15g) and one day on low carbs (50g). By doing carb rotation you can lose bodyfat and maintain as much muscle mass as possible . Also, you will feel more energetic esp on high carbs day. Another reason is (if you are on a very low carbs and low calorie diet for a long time), then it's harder for you to lose bodyfat coz your metabolism would slow down dramatically.![]()

Looks good......I have had great success with low carbs in the past....but dread the idea of doing it again......cycling carbs looks like a much healthier option and less stressful to my body .Originally Posted by asiansensation

I try to stay 200g or less @ 230ish and that works well for me.

just think if we deleted the two word only thread, the post whore thread, etc., then their post counts would drop to about half!
The Qatar Classic was postponed to an uknown date. I was half way preparing when they announced it was postponed (6 weeks before the show). I am keeping my diet (not very strict though), stay lean and will be ready to rumble in March.
