Yes, this is disturbing
No, perfectly normal

A federal appeals court upheld a jury's finding that Barnes was a victim of discrimination, under a federal civil rights law. The city had been ordered to pay the officer $320,000, and pay another $550,000 in attorney fees.
Barnes, a 24-year veteran of the Cincinnati police force, dressed as a man at work but a woman during off-hours in 1999 when the officer was demoted. Barnes sometimes wore makeup to work and had manicured nails. ...
... A transsexual is a person who has undergone a sex change operation or whose sexual identification is with the opposite sex.
I can't articulate exactly why right now, but this just disturbs me.

seeing as you have an uncanny ability to locate funny internet pictures, can you find me a NON-PORNOGRAPHIC picture of an obviously transgender cop? preferably a funny one.

We have a big enough shortage here if we discriminated we'd lose over half the force.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Isn't it ironic...don't you think...![]()
A body building forum: dedicated lifters/performers, who shave their bodies and put on fake tint, polling about a transexual.
The question could as easily be asked by transexuals about bodybuilders. Right?
"Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but how we REACT to what happens; not by what life brings to us, but by the ATTITUDE we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a CHAIN REACTION of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst... a spark that creates EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS."
That's like comparing a freight train to a cantalope. Shaving of the body and fake n' bake can't be compared to trying to become a woman after you get off work.
Not really, though I know what you mean. Consider looking at a bodybuilder's lifestyle from a non BB perspective. Can you imagine how they think, looking at grown men shaving their butts and painting their bodys, parading around in thongs and flexing their muscles for other men? People want change, whether it be large or small. And! People don't understand what drives others to do what they do. Racism...Sexism...Elitism... all forms of discrimination, though comparably different. We aren't transexuals, so we don't get it. It's weird, a bit disturbing for those of us who don't live that life, but it shouldn't effect our professional lives. Everyone can be judge and discriminated for something in their lives.

Dang, Tier, we've butted heads in a couple different areas!
