For me it was this 1973 'Super'beetle(bug) which I had from 1983 to 87. Nothing but trouble £2000 + in repairs.

it was an off purple color, it had the shittiest acceleration ever, and it felt like it was made out of tin foil, the interior plastic sucked and broke all the time

A friend gave me a Rover Metro, in 2002.It had lived most of it's life in Scotland, and was a 'bit' rusty. So the connection between the bodywork and the pipe to the petrol tank was broken. Drove it in the rain, and the tank would fill with water. (5 litres of it ) Very economical, as it just kept on cutting out.

I used the same body kit for my Geo Metro RS (Rally Sport) complete with fake super charger intake.

What I did was wrap three pringles cans in tin foil, and mount them above my hood.

The body kid extends the front of the car by about 200 feet, so this can also be benificial in winter when you need a snow plow.

This was my first car, it was loaned to me by my uncle. A 1974 Ford Ranchero, it was uglier than hell, but it had some balls. One day I was riding with my buddy, we seen some chicks walking, I did a quick U-turn (Battery was loose) and the engine caught on fire. We didn't pick up those chicks by the way.

It was complete shit I tell you. I had to buy new tires every other month, the exits to my street were black, my neighborhood smelled like rubber. Gas mileage was like 5mpg, and I was issued about $5700 in tickets. Handling SEEMED great, but when people jumped out in front of the car, or rode thier bicycles on the road it just went to shit, and alchohol seemed to make it worse. The Front end fell apart every Sunday when church was letting out. Apparently some old-lady magnetization bug.

I finally got rid of the piece of shit after a wall ran into it when I didnt have insurance. Ive been riding a '94 Metro which cost me $500 ever since and had no problems.

or women... Which is probably largely responsible for the lack of problems.

My first car at age 13 or 14, my dad found abandoned in the underbrush by his workplace so he towed it home cleaned the engine up and let me drive it on the old country dirt roads, I took it off roading alot and slammed it into alot of ditches doing powerslides on muddy roads.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

In NY that would be considered stealing.
