    OK... I need the Geeks...

    I am going to Trash this OS load on my computer,
    reformat, and reload...

    I have all the software I need...

    All I need now is to save all my files...

    so I always forget something..

    I've got..

    My DOCS & sub folders
    Cookies
    Favorites
    Misc executables
    Desktop
    and backup files



    What can I be forgetting to backup this time???

    Outlook archive PSTs?

    What OS? WXP has a neat util called FAST (files and settings transfer wizard). Run that and see what it tells you, if you have XP pro/home that is.

    Just go to Start | Search, and then search for: *.doc, *.jpg, *.psd, *any extension of files you may need. Then it'll find them all, and you can make sure you backed up all your goodies.

    Don't forget your profile under documents and settings. Also make sure you have all the drivers you need on media.

    I also like to backup the system state, licenses and registry too, just in case.
