that's on debate ... the dealer has both the 3.5 HO and hemi version. I would like it but don't know it's worth the extra cash

Which gives you more bang for your buck? Usually the HO engines are high compression and have to be fed premium gas. BIG $$$ in the long run. If the Hemi needs the high octane stuff too then it's a wash, just go with the one that has the most horsepower/torque.

Always look at sales volume
You may have a problem getting rid of the car with the smaller engine
Or vice-versa
I always look at saleable options -

It's a Dodge, they have one of the lowest resale values of all auto-makers. (I only say this, since I owned one several years back) Besides, you don't buy a car like that, in order to turn around and sell it anytime soon. Do you? Burner ... Trade the actual hotrod for this ... not a chance. Although I might paint it to match the 'new' hotrod.
As for reslae value, I'm with dougnukem ... I've never bought a car looking at it's resale value. Buy it, use and abuse it and then, when it's broke down, fix it, use and abuse it more. When it breaks down again, fix it and use and abuse it for the final time.
