I know you're not from the right generation for this but google would never go down for more than a couple mins if that because of redundancies and Internet Explorer is on your computer and can't really go "down".
Make sure you don't have any adware, they can F your shiz up. Microsoft Anti Spyware is good.

Google cannot "go down" because it is run on hundreds of servers in redundancy.

Weird today. I have satelite internet because there is no cable or phones availble where I live. So sat is it. It runs off internet explorer. maybe explorer is having problems

Internet Explorer doesn't control the internet and sites being down. It's on the shell you use to be able to view things on the internet.

You probably have a vulture sitting on your sat. dish or maybe some mexican stole it in the middle of the night, go outside and check. If none of the above then it's probably cloudy and the sat signal is being refracted by water dense cloud formations.
