I'm not a fan of the death penalty, but if we want a change it should be done by the legislators and not an individual such as a president or governor.

He sat 20 years on DR....that would never happen in texas or florida

Tookie committed crimes, and deserves to be in prison... but not killed.

I know i'll get flamed for saying that, but he's saving lives. His gang2gang work has saved an innumerable amount of people, and the dude won a fucking nobel peace prize, he's obviously a beneficial member of society.

Let him sit in there and do his business, no need to set back gang relations jsut so you can rid your hands of a man who was controversially convicted of a crime in 1979.

That would really show how he has touched people's lives. Nothing more effective then starting a riot because a man you feel is a good person is killed for crimes he commited and was found guilty of.

You know, in some ways I feel bad for the guy. I mean if he wasn't so stupid to have killed people, and used his brain like he has been since then, he wouldn't be in this situation.

Exactly, why not write books about staying away from gangs and violence before you start one up and kill innocent people. It is funny how many people on death row suddenly claim to be saints by pretending to be good and many people fall for it...I'm glad the Governor didn't. And if it was sincere, good for him. I hope he will set an example to some, and his death will set an example to others that if you decide to kill people, you will be punished...plain and simple.

I also here of many anti-death penalty advocates trying to start shit. I think a law needs to be passed where everyone has to register to be either anti-death penalty or for it. Then we tax only the people who are for it to house these pieces of shit. I guarantee a lot of people will change there mind when they realize how expensive it is. Imagine the wasted money to house this guy for 20 years.

I can remember in 1992 watching the riots on TV along with my co-worker and a customer. I made a comment at how senseless it is to riot in your own neighborhood and the customer for whatever reason took offense to what I said...he tells me "Oh well maybe I should bring some brothers here and start a riot"...I looked at him at slowly explained why I call it senseless.

99% of the time there is a riot they do more harm to there own neighborhood and instead of screwing "the man" they instead screw "the brother".
So if your pissed off at the police and justice system go to the courts and precinct and riot there, not in your own backyard.....that's if the have the balls to do so.
