Texas (Austin area). It is basically a mini-L.A. where the people are nicer, beautiful women, and you can actually afford a house. I lived in Texas 90% of my life, I'm in L.A. now. The weather is great here, but I see myself back in Texas again sometime in the future.

where the best place might be depends on a lot of factors.

Weather, job opportunities, closeness to family (if that is important), city, suburb, or rural.

    For me?

The DC area had a lot of positives. But then again, so did other places.
