    Think they got grounded?

Two of the world's rarest exotic cars, the Lamborghini Murcielago, and the newly introduced Ferrari Enzo, crashed today in the Park Cities area while street racing. There were a total of 5 teens involved. The Lamborghini apparently was driven by minor Courtney Shannon, daughter of Danny Shannon the owner of a large exotic cars dealership. The Ferarri Enzo, the world's rarest car, was driven by Rebecca West who's father is a prominent attorney. Both girls are age 17. Three males, Andrew Lambert, Chase Shannon, and a third who's name has not yet been released, were passengers.

Both females and two males are in stable condition, while the third male is in critical condition. All 5 were taken to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Rand Allemond says "I saw the yellow one coming down the street and make a sharp swerve-like maneuver and turn sideways while the other ran into it. Then they both slid into two other cars and that's when I ran inside to get my wife and call the police".

The Lamborghini is valued at $280,000, and the Ferarri is valued at more then $2,000,000.00.

    girl drivers

now for a little story. one of my jobs is being a light tech for a company that does wedding videos. we're a well known company in our community and they charge an arm and a leg to get a production done, so our clientele are usually pretty loaded. well this one job we were on, the groom's brother had just bought himself a new Ferrari Maranello. we were outside the church just hanging out waiting for the bride to get there and we see the car. me, my boss, and my friend are watching the car because you don't really see many of those around brooklyn. well the guy decides to show off and most likely dumps the clutch at high revs and the car just takes off into a narrow street, the guys loses control and starts fish tailing back and forth. before we can blink he took out like 3 cars on the block and demolished his brand new Ferrari, tens of thousands of dollars of damage. we were fuckin rollin, that guy was such a deuche bag. rich people buy shit and don't even know what they really have, they only buy it as a status symbol

I dunno...a 2mil dollar car....and a teenaged daughter took it ofr a joy ride? That car cannot readily be replaced....be interested in seeing if daddy wanted to 'teach her a lesson' by having her brought up on grand theft auto charges....

Was it a joy ride or was this the car that daddy gave to his little girl for her sweet 16?

Probably a joy ride... at least I would hope

doubt it...u can't just buy an Enzo...you actually have to be invited by Ferrari to buy one. (previous ownership of at least one Ferrari, and other pre-requisites)
They only made a handful of them, I believe...

Actually the sale price is anywhere from 700k to 1.2 mil. Of course I'm just splitting hairs. Giving the high demand I can see them going for higher on the open market but not from Ferrari directly.

I remember reading good advice to a parent who was financially independant whose kid wanted a fancy car.
Tell the kid you will buy them any car they want, but the kid has to pay ALL the insurance, maintenance and upkeep...miss one payment...the car goes away...back to driving the soccer mom van...

imagine what the insurance on a new 'Vette is for a 16 year old???

From the damage those cars sustained I think I'll mark them off my list of cars to buy...
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless those who bless me as I gladly accept their blessings, and curse those who curse me all the while protecting me for any evils. In Christ name, amen...

Yep they are very fragile and pains in the ass to keep the maintenance on. Even if I were a zillionaire I wouldn't own either. I've seen them break down on people in the middle of no where out here too often, I guess if I were a zillionaire I could have my Private helicopter follow me and pick me up if I got stranded.

I'm surprised the "prominent lawyer" let the name of his minor daughter be released, he must obviously be pissed.

He might have found it here, but there's no link on that page either.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.
