If you're a Democrat, you cry, curse the Fates, and run to Canada.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Already got that out of my way.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles

If you're that worried about being drafted into a war that you don't support, there is an alternative to running away. It's called a conscientious objector, and it's completely legal and legit. The military doesn't want anyone who might tuck tail and run during war, or refuse to defend them and others while at war.

Although I'm not a democrat, yeah, something like that. I refuse to be involved in a war in any capacity. Particularly not a war that I protested against in the first place.

I tried to sign up with the Marine Jag corp when I got out of law school but I have exercised induced asthma and that is a complete bar to the military. Of course I was also a semi pro cyclist in college but obviously I am not physically fit. I guess asthma is the biggest bar for most people joining up.

(I do understand ashtma being a bar because you are morre likely to be affected by anything in the air like smoke and other chemicals. Of course I think there should be more of a screening process.)

There were Americans that protested the Second World War. After all, Europe's problems are Europe's problems.

Yea, they aren't big fans of asthma. Some folks can get waivered for it, but it all depends on how much your chain of command pushes for/against it.

There is a time and a place for war but this happens to be neither. Some things are worth fighting or even dying for. Stupid ass politics is not one of those things IMO...

I know more people who have served in the military who have no political affiliation than Republicans and Democrates....most only cared to serve their country.

I support the insurgents. I support road-side bombs. I support snipers.

The Americans in Iraq are fascists.

uneducated, poorly read, no knowledge of Iraqi history,

Why don't you donate yourself and your family to be hostages. Just think, the beheadings will be imortalized as an AVI on the Internet.

Hell, I'll even take a dump on your parent's graves to say thanks for raising such an asshat.

    so...if I read this right:
You say you are an American..yet...you want Americans to die...
You want our GI's to get shot and bombed? For the simple fact they they chose to serve in the military?
How about telling that to the parent of any service member that has lost their son / daughter / father / mother / husband / wife that you are glad that they are dead...

I'm not glad anyone is dying. I don't want anyone to do die.

But I support the insurgents. And, by any means necessary.

The Americans in Iraq want to oil because of increased Chinese demand, which is breaking records. The Americans have lied to many times:

    1. Mohamed Atta never met with Al Qaeda in Praque.
    2. Hussein never tried to buy uranium in Sudan.
    3. There was no Al-Qaeda link with Hussein

    I could go on.....
