I'd let them do anything besides rape and fucked up shit like that. Unless they did it to me, but I still wouldn't call the cops I'd just do something back.

I would never rat on family. As for friends, I would not rat on a very close friend, but I only have several. I would not be close friends with someone who was nuts or would ever intend to hurt other people for no good reason. As far as other friends, I try to mind my own business. I would only intervene if I was very certain they would hurt someone else without good reason. Drunk driving is something I will rat people out on though, and I have called the cops on a friend's friend due to her being blatently drunk and then hopping behind the wheel (I didn't have the opportunity to try to stop her myself). She was angry and drunk and then got in her SUV and smashed into our house, then into another car several times before driving off. I called the cops immediately.

Well, I don't know what to think if the couple here, Couple arrested for trying to take friend back to jail have just been a friend when they took their buddy back in jail after bailing her out of custody after they discovered she was making use of drugs, only to have slapped with false imprisonment charges. Goal backfired.
I just remembered this when I read this thread.
