I don't think the NFL/MLB etc handles what television commercials are shown during the broadcast; I think it is up to the television station. If it were the other way around though, no I would not blame them, since I can't see these beer commercials being that effective... I think they are meant more for branding purposes than to sell the product to that person through that particular commercial.

Advertising is where the money is for the stations. More advertising, more money. As an adult, most people drink, so I see no harm in it.

There were alot more beer and cigarette commercials during games while I was a kid and I have never smoked and didn't start drinking until I was 19. Of course I was a devoted athlete back then, plus I've never been the type to pay attention when commercials come up, I've always had the habit of having a book or magazine in my lap while watching TV so that when the annoying commercials come on I read until my show comes up again, I've had that habit since I could read.

and drag down the features of age,

no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Really I dont see the point in advertising beer in the first place. You either like it or you dont. I know for one that I dont need some damn commercial to go get me a cold one.

Oh now hold on a sec... Whether you like beer or not it can be soundly argued that Budweiser is exclusively responsible for some of the funniest and most creative commercials throughout Super Bowl history

I don't drink Bud by choice but I do appreciate their marketing.

    hmmmm...

and I thought alcohol and junk food were legal products in your country?!?!?

and all your citizens had the right to advertise and/or use whatever legal products they chose!?!?

What of personal responsibility and personal choice??

Nah..... that's old school thinking. A thing of the past.

These days it's easier to shirk all personal responcibility and accountability and blame advertisers for our poor decisions.

We blame McDonalds for our decision to eat too much - hence: it's not our fault we are fat.

we blame tobacco companies for our decision to smoke and therefor it' not our fault we die from lung cancer.

We might as well blame alcohol distilleries and the athletes who advertise their products. I mean, it's pretty obvious we would have NEVER consumed that 30-pack of bud light and decided to drive if it hadn't been for those damn celebrity athletes forcing me to drink.
