Guy at my Gym

Another jackass has been frequenting the gym I go to lately and he is a gym weenie poster boy. He is probably around 14, really clumsy, and looks like he still hasn't lost that "baby fat" yet, like a walking marshmallow but not extremely overweight. He comes in and patrols the gym looking for something worth his time, then picks up a 25lb dumbell and begins to do one arm curls, which look more like he's bending his elbow and then doing a front lateral raise, with the usual horrible form where the arm is coming down and going up at all different angles. After a couple reps he holds the dumbell in the top position and proceeds to walk around for awhile until going back in front of the mirror, and doing a couple more reps before setting it back down. Then he walks around some more and goes back to doing the same exercise, that's ALL he did. Then early into his routine he gets a call on the cell phone and starts talking like a tough guy, something about some guy who f'd with him so he had to f' him up etc., when this guy looks like he couldn't hold his own against girls his own age. I guess walking around while holding up a cell phone was too intense of a workout so he grabs the adjustable incline bench, and a flat bench and sets them up so that he can lounge back on the incline bench and kick his feet up while talking on his cell phone. After his important call he goes back to his stupid curl event, then decides to pester some wigger who slapped on a 35 on each side of the bar and was about to bench press, but before he can the kid climbs under and unracks the bar and proceeds to do 1 rep with horrible form, and then another but the weight collapses on him and pins him down. The wigger has to yank the weight off of him and then the gym weenie finally leaves.

Another time I saw him trying to do squats in the smith rack, and his feet were around 2 feet backwards from the bar, and he was squatting down maybe half way and struggling to get the weight back up, with his feet pointing out at like a 60 degree angle.

The kids 14. Give him a break. I'm sure all of us were stupid and really really bad at something at one point, and someone helped us out. It's not like this kid couldn't seriously get hurt. I really hope someone at the gym helps him out, or he stops going. One of the two.

i agree. someone should try to at least show him how to lift weights properly. if he doesn't listen, well then let the little man get pinned again. no harm in trying though especially if he's receptive to what you are showing him

From what Lee Delroy says, it seems like this guy doesnt deserve help. If he was simply ignorant then that would be something different but he also sounds like he thinks he's the 'top dog'.

Hope that made sense.

It's not like someone has tried to help him and got blown off. The kids just stupid, but hes only 14 cut him some slack. I'm sure if someone took interest in helping him learn to lift correctly he would excell.
