at first it was funny, now it's just out of hand. Were people actually offended by "Merry Christmas?" I know people are offended by "Happy Holidays" and especially "Xmas." If they were then I stand corrected, but I just don't ever recall anyone ever complaining about it before

I still don't see how anyone could honestly be offended by someone mistakenly wishing them a Merry Christmas or by someone wishing someone else a Merry Christmas. They're words. If they said it to you, correct them. Why do you have to whine? It's not hurting anyone and there are certainly much worse things to say to someone than to wish them to have a good day on December 25th. The power of stupid people amazes me still.
