I shot that thing from 200 yards away, which is not easy to do, because deer won't die if you shoot them in the leg or something. They'll run off and you won't see them again. Deer hunting is hours and hours of being bored out of your mind lying as still as possible and being as quiet as possible followed by about 5 minutes of crazy excitement, and if you get what's called "buck fever" your gun or bow will twitch like you have epilepsy making even a 50 yard shot hard. Not to mention that bow hunting is hard as fuck so I think it's impressive that my brother bagged a 130 lb doe his first time out bow hunting. I know guys who didn't get a kill their first 3 years hunting with a compound bow and even longer with a recurve. I assure you that deer died quickly, his heart was basically liquified by the bullet, and yes I do eat what I kill.
Ok, a 200 yard shot with a scope (probably) is not that big of a deal. There is a whole branch of the armed service that has to be able to hit a half man (DOG) sized target at 500 yards with open sights. Ask a Marine what he thinks of a 200 yard shot and he will fucking laugh at your ass.

    Wyoming Muley!

Ok, Here is what a deer should look like. Granted this is a Mule Deer and not a White tail, If you would like to see a pic of a Wyoming Whit tail I can post that as well. Notice the "country"? It is a piece of heaven!

Hunting is not a sport at all, just a ridiculous hobby to kill animals especially when they have nothing to do with us. Yes, i look at it as animal cruelty so what .. what u trying to prove? That you're the bigger man when you kill them?
It looks like the guy was enjoying the deer as a meal, so why is that a problem? When you buy meat at the store, someone else slaughters the animal(s) for you. I see no distinction between you and the hunter, from that particular perspective.

If the guy was hunting purely to collect trophies, then you have more of an argument (even though I wouldn't agree, because hunting is important for controlling animal population growth).

I bet you're one of those guys who references "Nam" in every conversation, don't you? Well I wasn't in the bush hunting charlie, and I wasn't in Saigon, and I'm not Ho Chi Minh. I was hunting for white tail in Pachuta, Mississippi. Hopefully clearing this up will help ease the sweaty flashbacks that wake you up every morning. I'm glad a Marine can hit a person from 500 yards, because that deer I killed wasn't looking to kill me, but a Marine's target most likely will be.
