I have seen that video before and I always thought it was fake.
Most people have no idea how fucking loud a gun really is. If a centerfire handgun went off in a small room full of children, everyone would hit the floor covering their ears and plenty of the kids would start crying. They definitely wouldn't sit there perfectly still and giggle a little bit.

LMAO!!! I'm sitting here cleaning my Glock 21C when i see this thread pop up to the top.
What a dumbass. I'll tell you, if you don't know anything about Glocks.. that trigger safety will get you sooner or later.
I have no idea if this is real, but glocks are fairly quiet compared to other guns. I have a Ruger .357 with a 6" barrel and a Glock 23 and the .357 makes the Glock sound like a cap gun. The Ruger is loud as balls and spits fire out of the barrel even when I use 38 Special rounds, and the glock shoots much softer and quieter.Quote:

I have shot plenty of glocks, though they might be quieter than other hand guns they still sound like a nuclear explosion compared to the loudest firework I have ever heard.
think about setting an m80 off unannounced in a room full of children, then multiply that by 10.
I agree. Glocks are probably one of the loudest handguns (my .45 Cal is deafening)
However, most camcorders do a real shitty job of recording sound unless you have professional equipment in use. Just the cheap mic on the camera probably didn't pick up the sound.
As for the crowds reaction (or lack thereof) who knows.. maybe thier used to hearing gunshots?
that is my guess. the guy was making the children actually scared in order to prove a point.Quote:

A .357 magnum round is louder and has more muzzle flash than the .38 SpecialQuote:

No Ninja could ever be fast enough to touch The Monkey Man
as he is capable of moving at unbelievable speeds - :finger:
The Glock 23 is chambered for .40 S&W. The Glock 20 is chambered for 10mm Auto. The reason .40 S&W were first manufactured was because the 10mm was to powerful and the heavy recoil put a beating on the guns, so it's designed to have less of a recoil. I have a Glock 23 compact anyway so it doesn't hold 10mm rounds, but yes the .40 is not as loud as .357 mag.Quote:

At that indoor range in Columbia an employee accidentally shot himself in the face with a desert eagle and died. He was shooting downrange and the recoil was so strong that his elbows bent all the was around to point the gun directly at his head and the gun went off again.Quote:
