Being successful in a difficult field doesn't make a person smart. The subject that they understand and can grasp conceptually just happens to have a reputation for being very difficult. I'm sure i'll get bashed by BigDyl for saying this, but I found organic chemistry to be very easy from a conceptual standpoint, even though I had been told for years that it was damn near impossible. I find chemistry to be fairly easy, but I struggle big time in history and foreign language. I took "U.S. History to 1885" (which is basic hist 111) the same semester I took Organic II and I was happy when I got a C in history. I had to bust my ass for that C also. This is no lie, for some reason I wrote "Jesse Jackson" as an answer on an exam that was about the civil war. Now that's stupid. Originally Posted by maniclion
