    modding an xbox

    yea,

so I decided to get a game console since I didnt allow ,yself the priviledge while Iwas in school. I've decided to buy an xbox since you can apparently mod them to play burnt games, and ,y friend says he will burn me all the games I can play since he has so many.

anyway, does anyone know how to mod xboxes???? or have experoence with it???? or advice???

You may have to dig a little but the info is there. A couple of guys that I work with have put in mod chips and connected theirs to a NAS, where they have all their games stored, about a terabytes worth of stuff. I will ask them some stuff tomorrow if I think about it.(Their PSP and PS2's are also hacked) They also emulate SuperNES, PS1 and 2, and some SEGA games on them.

Yeah, you need a mod chop. I used to use an xenium ice, solderless version. You have to attach it to the mobo on the xbox after opening it. Then you need a new firmware, like evoution x. Flash the bios with the firmware. Then your good to go, you can ftp to your pc and upload games to burn. It's a pain in the ass overall though...

Don't give the man grief, he gave you some good info to start with.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.
