Heavy drinking tonight, should I not workout??

    Title says it all.
Going to a party and getting drunk tonight, should I hold off on doing
my chest/shoulder workout until next week?

You should workout, you shouldn't drink being a minor and all. But, you should workout nonetheless.

The last couple of times I drank, I was pissed the next day, because I felt like it ruined my workout.

Because All I got was alcohol and no protein, etc.

Go workout. Try not to drink to much. Get a small meal in before you go to bed.

when you have alcohol in your body, your liver prioritises(sp) it over other nutrients, so your body will have a hard time repairing any muscle. that said, it takes more than one night to repair your body after a workout.

I say booze it up, have a good time, and hit the gym in the morn after a solid breakfast!

Don't drink at all, workout really hard right before the party then load up on caffeine and coast on the post workout high.

I have an interesting observation, and a magic solution to your problem.

Drinking is obviously not conducive to muscle building; therefore, you shouldnt drink.

Man underage drinking was fun. My body can't handle the abuse from alcohol that it could in my teen years.

Yeah but weightlifting is not conducive to persuading heavily intoxicated females back to your place with false, empty promises of long term relationships and love in hopes of engaging in intercourse; Therefore, you should drink.

You know, statistically speaking, 98% of males who reach the age of 18 between the years 2005 and 2006 and who binge drink end up being gay.

    So, you're gay

I go drinking at least once a week usually on a friday but i always make sure i get a decent meal inside me before and drink loads of water. If its a heavy session i skip a beer and have a pint of water instead i think it makes a big differance and if you are not too pissed to remember always drink more water when you get home.

I'm 19 and used to drink in highschool....9th, 10th and 11th grade. It's not that awesome in my opinion but I don't react the way most people do to drinking.
I prefer other drugs....mainly marijuana but it's not really a "party" drug.

I have never thrown up or felt bad the next morning from weed.

I try not to drink, because it ruins my program, but its Mardi Gras in Mobile so I have been drinking like a fish the last few days. I have been coming home at night and making myself drink a shitload of water and a whey shake before I pass out. It helps to keep me hydrated, and I don't even have hangovers in the morning.
