Rain is water and water is 2 parts hydrogen 1 part oxygen so you elctrically seperate them, store the hydrogen for fuel and there you go. But it takes energy to make energy no matter what. The best we've come by so far in my opinion is the solar hot water panel followed by the solar electric panel. Think about alll the energy that goes into exploring for oil, drilling for oil, hauling oil, refining oil, cleaning up spills from oil, other enviromental issues such as the number of lung diseases smog has or will cause and it's burden on the healthcare systems. It's the worst source we've ever become addicted to.
