Im not sure about the US but over here in Australia the prices can change several times daily. ( My first job was at as servo )
Just enter your zip code in the site below, and it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas in your zip code area. It's updated every evening.

It is illegal to switch it more than once a day in the states, although that doesn't prevent it from happening. I saw it change 3 times one day around Labor Day. Caused quite the stir around here because, in reality, they have already purchased the gas they have, there should be no reason to change it until they get their tanks re-filled.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

I remember when I got my license there was this place by my highschool with $0.72/gallon. Those were the days.

It came up around Hurricane Katrina. It is definitely illegal in NJ and PA. Part of the price gouging laws, I believe.

electric motors
Nah! My petrol (gas) car does 50mpg and its nearly 10 years old. Diesels (some) do 70mpg. And my 'little' car is still doing 80 mph before I know what is happening, so no problem with performance.Originally Posted by oaktownboy
Yea but filling up my 11gallon tank costs around €50 (60$) will take me 700 to 900 kms........
Electric motors- yea , nice and quiet! But how is the electricity produced? (to charge the batteries that power the motor?????)Originally Posted by Vieope

Hydroelectric plants, nuclear, wind, solar energy, natural gas..Originally Posted by Nick+
Nuclear seems nice and cheap , as long as the gov't helps pay for most of it..... (as happens worldwide) and then don't forget the costs of disposing of the radioactive muck, and decommisioning {most often forgotten in estimates of the costs for nuclear] Hydroelectric: not bad, as long as you don't live in the valley about to be flooded.......Originally Posted by Vieope
Wind: Lots of complaints in the UK about windfarms, personally ,I'm not against them as I'm not near one, and I think wind turbines are rather pretty after seeing a whole damn group of them in Spain recently.......
Solar energy:Ask Aslan about that, he's the expert.I suspect its being totally under utilised.Natural gas:???? Ha Ha Well as I live in Western EUrope I just guess we'll have to keep the Russians happy. As that is where most of the stuff is coming from.
Best thing would be if most people would try and use less energy!!!! Leaving tv's and PC's + other such things on stand by setting alone uses (in Germany)the whole energy produced by one power station alone!
Also drive more economical cars! (and I'm not talking bloody 4x4's unless you are pulling a trailer or you are a farmer ???whatever)
I forgot you are from England, you gus should try getting energy from the rain.![]()
