    Vice President Cheney famously doesn’t care what people think of him. It’s a good thing, too.
    The taciturn veep is down to 18% approval in a CBS poll. Shooting his pal in the face in a hunting accident and lobbying for torture didn’t help those numbers.
    In the eyes of America, he’s now tied with accused child molester and all-around weirdo Michael Jackson.
    And he’s within the margin of error for a tie with irritating heiress Paris Hilton. Even O.J. Simpson has got him beat.
    Just about the only people Americans dislike more than Cheney are Cuban strongman Fidel Castro and dead PLO leader Yasser Arafat.
