I think that person is having gay tendencies.
I am in deep shit. I have a Philosophy mid - term paper due tomorow and I am having a hard time understanding this quote:
Rene Descartes says "In order to be free I need not be capable of being moved in each direction; on the contrary, the more I am inclined toward one direction ... the more freely do I choose that direction.”
If you guys could give me a few ideas I would really appreciate it. What do you guys think Rene Descartes is saying here?

I think that person is having gay tendencies.
"A child does not learn to squat from the top down -- in other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and makes the conscious decision to stand." - Gray Cook

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink, but if you run the shit out of it and then take it near the water it will want to drink.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
This is interesting. Thanks. Do you have any other ideas?Originally Posted by maniclion

he believed that our will can be determined (determinism), yet be completely free (free will).
"upon a great illumination of the intellect there follows a great inclination of the will; thus, if we see very clearly that a thing is suitable for us, then it is difficult for us (I think, even impossible), so long as we remain in this state of mind, to stay the course of our desire"
Awsome, the more info I get the better. Thanks bro!Originally Posted by Robert DiMaggio

Yes I plan on using nano devices in a paint substrate over metal surfaces in crucial stress bearing mechanisms to sense stress fractures and other areas of weakness when an electrical charge is sent through any area of the painted surface the nano devices would show areas where they have been broken away or stretched beyond their normal distances..
