Does it bother you when someone talks to you while you are eating?

It only bothers me when I try to eat during my lunch hour, customers and bosses seem to think it's OK for them to bother me in my half hour of peace.

I think I'll start talking with my food spilling out of my mouth when they bug me.

yes .. all the time

i tend to eat alone whenever i have a meal. I hate having to eat with people because all they do is talk and they barely eat .. well, i am bulking and i need to eat eat eat! .. so getting distracted and having to talk not only makes my food cold after a while, it's a big waste of time

Unless i'm in a hurry to finish eating and someone is going on blah blah blah.. then yes. Otherwise no.

IMO, having a meal with someone would involve some conversation. I wouldnt want to sit with someone or a bunch of people who sat and ate in total silence.

getting watched while i eat has nothing to do with what i said above. I am saying that i hate when people talk a lot and ask questions which makes me have to talk and therefore wastes my time especially since i have classes in between and have to eat a lot since i am bulking.

I enjoy eating while I converse, as long as I'm not in a hurry. Even then, I will just keep shoveling the food down giving generic responses while they blather away. Most people don't really want to hear you talk anyway, they just want to run their mouth.

Me too. Also it depends on the other person. Some can carry out meaningful conversations where as others only make small talk. Either dosent bother me so long as it is a topic i am not intrested in listening to. Like listening to someone going on and on about their kids

(If i wanted to know about kids, i'd have some of my own!)

But they say eating together (with some conversation involved) brings people together.
