    When BS is a Back-biter

Bush welcomes probe of CIA leak (circa 2003)

"If there's a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is," Bush told reporters at an impromptu news conference during a fund-raising stop in Chicago, Illinois. "If the person has violated the law, that person will be taken care of.
"I welcome the investigation. I am absolutely confident the Justice Department will do a good job.
"I want to know the truth," the president continued. "Leaks of classified information are bad things."

(Yes, leaks are very bad for America and our safety.)

Libby: Bush himself authorized leak on Iraq (circa 2006)

    Updated: 2:38 p.m. ET April 6, 2006
WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney’s former top aide told prosecutors President Bush authorized the leak of sensitive intelligence information about Iraq, according to court papers filed by prosecutors in the CIA leak case.

If this breaks bad for GWB, and I don’t see how it cannot, will even the true-believers admit that something is rotten in the state of Denmark?

The answer is no. Bush supporters will continue to look the other way, because they are morons.
I would be willing to bet that there will be no peeling off of 'W' stickers from SUV's just because of this story.

I agree. I was being somewhat rhetorical but I keep hammering away. Maybe it will have an effect.

I think anything short of Bush eating an infant on live television will have no effect on some of his cult-like supporters.

The non-rational adoration of some Bush supporters knows no bounds. I mean look at Jonah Goldberg the conservative author that bad-mouthed that freed reporter. I guess she wasn't patriotic enough for ol' Jonah b/c she didn't support the war while guerrillas held guns to her head.
